Western Eagles Galway Orienteers

Phoenix.jpg Western Eagles Galway Orienteers is a small club based in Galway. The SportIdent timing system ensures we are able to plan, organise and control championship events. Events such as the SportIdent timed Irish Orienteering Championships in Co Donegal ensures a small number of people may contribute to the development of the sport of orienteering. WEGO had 100 members when it was part of a Connacht Regional super club. Presently, there are club members in Munster and Leinster, Argentina, Netherlands and the U.K. The 51st Bn RDF provides a steady membership.

WEGO and CNOC will host the Irish 3 Day Orienteering Championships in Co Donegal Saturday to Monday 5th to 7th June 2010. WEGO is listed on Toplisted, a website providing international exposure for ths event.
