Western Eagles Galway Orienteers

Phoenix.jpg Western Eagles Galway Orienteers is a small club based in Galway. The SportIdent timing system ensures we are able to plan, organise and control championship events. Events such as the Irish Park O and Irish Trail O Championships in Belvedere House and Gardens ensures a small number of people may contribute to the development of the sport of orienteering. WEGO had 100 members when it was part of a Connacht Regional super club. Presently, there are club members in Munster and Leinster, Argentina, Netherlands and the U.K. The 51st Bn RDF provides a steady membership.

WEGO are planning an intenational Irish Three Day orienteering event on Inishbofin, Co Galway 31st May to 2nd June 2008. WEGO is listed on Toplisted a website providing international exposure for ths event.
